Consultations

  • We kindly ask that you wear comfortable, loose clothing and remove any unnecessary jewellery to each session, as you will be relaxing on a massage couch and we do not want you to become uncomfortable during treatment. Also some therapies require you to change position and tight clothing will restrict your movements. It is not necessary to remove glasses or contact lenses.
  • If you are having Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture it is helpful if you can remove any makeup prior to your arrival, although there are facilities for you to do this once you arrive if you do not have time.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation for all therapies will take approximately 1½ hours. We are happy to accept doctors’ referrals via email at info@foxwellcentre.com. Please note if there is a serious underlying health problem, we may request a letter from your medical practitioner to state they are happy for you to proceed with treatment.

Ideally you will have completed the questionnaire relevant to your treatment prior to your arrival and the therapist will go through this with you to obtain more in depth information. However, we recognise this is not always possible and your therapist will be able to take you through the questionnaire on the day. Please note this might increase the length of time for your consultation.

You will then be asked to sign a consent form for treatment that will stand as authority for all subsequent treatments unless cancelled in writing. On the consent form is clearly stated Terms & Conditions.

The therapist will explain what to expect for your individualised treatment before starting the therapy. Upon conclusion of treatment there will be an advice sheet that the therapist will discuss with you plus any after effects you may experience as part of the healing process. This includes any specific advice pertaining to you that has arisen from treatment.

Subsequent Consultations

All other consultations will last for 1 hour including discussion at the beginning of each session and treatment time. If, for any reason, you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, the timing will be adjusted accordingly to fill the allotted hour which will mean a shorter treatment session. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes you but we ensure our other clients are not kept waiting.
